The litl webook seems to get a lot of things right.  I love the wheel idea and the way the screen flips all the way around.  Even the direct Hdmi cable is a feature that seems so odvious you wonder why isn’t standard on every netbook.
But it wont be successful.
First off its not backed by a major computer hardware company.  Even people who love to support small companys dont love doing it with big purchases like cars and computers.  Even this $700 machine is a reasonably big purcahse and people want to know that the company will be around to support it for atleast a couple of years and with something like litl, LCC as the only backing, there is no way to promise them anything.
Secondly, the timing is really bad, with chrome OS just around the corner its hard imagine people making a jump to a machine like this when they will have a similar (most likely cheaper) options from google very soon.

BUT… this brings up the real point. A machine like this seems like a perfect candidate to become a chrome OS machine.  It has everything google says they are looking for in a machine, what remains to be seen is exactly how google will handle the branding of such a machine.  Will it be like the Driod which is co-brnaded with verizon and made by motorola?   or is this the kind of company google would be looking to absorb in the near future and roll out the official google machine?  If the nexus one is any indication that seems the more likely route but only time will tell.
The sad part is that what seems like a hard working innovative small company like this will just have to wait and if if they are saved or eaten alive.
